As someone who prides herself in being a master communicator, it's silly that too often I don't tell the ones I'm closest to how special they truly are. We will celebrate 15 years together and 9 years of marriage in 2020.
We experienced life together traveling and kicking it without kids for 1/2 of that time and we've both had roller coaster careers in various industries. We survived the 2008 economic crisis together and are bracing ourselves, pivoting our businesses, and adjusting our family's day-to-day habits and schedules to get through this inevitable one. We are always able to adapt and figure it out as we go.

I couldn't imagine if I had to do it all without this kind, empathetic, loving and tolerant man by my side.
I keep coming back to a John Maxwell quote in recent weeks, "Change is inevitable, growth is optional." So much has changed in the last 15 years, but boy, have we grown.
