What does the word hope mean to you? Is it an optimistic state of mind? Positive thoughts? Aspiration? Desire?
For me, hope is one of the single most powerful feelings that can guide us through hardships. When I lose hope, I lose focus of the possibilities in front me. I dwell on the past and am distant in the present. Hope keeps us looking forward and encourages us to trust the creativity of the universe and our higher power.
Being self-aware through meditation and prayer is a wonderful way to control your mind and focus on being hopeful. I have been using an app by Oprah and Deepak Chopra to be mindful. They are currently offering a free 21-day meditation series called “Hope in Uncertain Times”. (Check it out here: https://chopracentermeditation.com.)
No matter your situation in regard to the current global pandemic, find hope in knowing we are all in this together. Many of our lives are forever changed, but we are pruning the old and planting seeds to make way for the new.
