Another delicious creation was born on this icy morning- Southern Rose Stuffed French Toast.
The unique ingredient in this is the quark cheese, a mild spreadable cheese similar to ricotta or a thick yogurt. We will restock on it as soon as Country View can get to us for a delivery! I absolutely love it and use it just as I would plain yogurt or cream cheese.
Here's how I made today's delicious breakfast!
Wise Wildflower Honey Butter
Langley Farm Fresh Eggs
TN Real Milk
Laurel Mountain Sourdough Bread
Country View Cream Southern Rose Quark Cheese
Harbin Hollow Honey
For the filling, mix 4 ounces of quark cheese with 1/2 cup smashed berries and 1 tbls of raw honey.
(I was actually out of LMF sourdough so I used a seeded wheat bread I had in hand).
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the wild flower honey butter. Beat 4 eggs with 1/4 cup of whole or Creamline milk. Dip your bread in the egg mixture and coat completely. Brown on both sides in the buttered skillet. Cut each bread in half so you have 8 1/2 slices. Coat four of them with the cheese filling and top with remaining toast. Throw some fresh berries on top and drizzle with honey.
That's it! The whole Fam Bam enjoyed this one.
