You're Never Too Old

This is one of my favorite quotes. (It may have something to do with the fact that #CSLewis is one of my all-time fave authors. 😉)

"You are never to old to set another goal or dream a new dream." Can I get an amen?!

It would be a super long post for me to explain all the twists, turns, and falls that have led me to owning and operating @HarbinHollow. Some of you know my story, but for those of you who don't, lets just say it's been a long and winding road.

I've gone to school, quit school, started a career, and repeated that cycle more times than I can count. I have degrees and certifications and all that jazz, but you know what has gotten me further than any of that? Building and maintaining relationships. You never know who you may cross paths with that will help you succeed down the road.

You also never know how those hard lessons learned will catapult you to the top later in life. When I quit my corporate sales job nearly two years ago to stay home with my kids, I had no idea where my path would lead.

At nearly 40 years old, I just wanted to be with my kids and knew I'd figure it out later. I kept dreaming, kept communicating, kept making new connections and kept building bridges.

So many dots have been connected with people I've met through the years and it blows my mind. Relationships from grade school, my time as a bartender, people I knew from church, previous employers, time spent volunteering, family in other states, and the list goes on and on.

I can definitely say it's a God thing because there's no way I could've spun the intricate web of relationships that has gotten me here today.

Be kind. Be honest. Do what you say you're gonna do. People will remember you for the right reasons and you will be blessed tenfold.

So today, I want to say thank you to all of you who are here on this journey with me. I couldn't do it without you!
